Hi there,

If memory serves me corrrect, 10w-40 is a synthetic oil, and 15w-40 is mineral oil, the Shineray motors do not like synthetic oils. Firstly the clutch is a "wet clutch" and they do not go well with synthetic oils.  Secondly, the oil seals in these motors can be attacked by the synthetic oil and eventually leak. The correct oil is the Castrol 4 stroke oil  15w-40 (I  forget the norm, something like "JASO" or similar, maybe somebody else can tell you that).

Hope this is of some help to you.

On my Shineray XY250STIXE (that is around 4500km) I use Castrol 10w40 (fully synthetic) and don't have any problems at all. With mine XY350ST the situation is the same.

There should be plenty in any good bolt, nuts etc. specialized shop.

Where exactly is the bolt?  Most nuts and bolts on the shinerays are standards Metric  e.g.  M8, M10 etc. however, some have metric fine threads e.g. M10 x 1.25 or M10 x 1.5. Most standard nuts and bolts are readily available at your local hardware store. If they are metric fine threads, they will be a little more difficult to find.  If you can say exactly where the bolt is, then I can tell you what the thread is (most probably).

theres 4, they seem to hold the whole back axle on, 1 on the top n 1 on the bottom on each side. which go into 4 welded nuts that are on the frame.  the bolt is a size 14 head and says c 8.8 onit and the thread is 3cm long, prob not much help lol  somone also said something like its a anti vibration bolt , the head also has a molded washer onit as well ...

I still can't place the bolts, however, they sound like M8 and I suspect that they will be standard threads . The 8.8 on the head of the bolt relates to the hardness ( in this case, a little exagerated, they are much to soft for 8.8). Can you post a photo of the axel? That would help. If we can identify the bolt, I would  suggest replaceing it and as many bolts as you can with stainless steel bolts (they will not rust like the originals) and are much harder. Most good hardware stores will sell these by the kilo.
