Oil filter
« on: February 23, 2015, 12:09:59 AM »

Hi Everyone,

Just changed the oil filter on my X2. A bit of searching determined it was the same as a Hi-Flo HF112. None of the local dealers had one of these in stock (or any of the other compatibles), so a bit more searching found this was the same as used in the current Honda CRF250L! The Honda part number is
15410-KYJ-901, and a local Honda dealer had one in stock - about 6 UK pounds.

The one originally in the X2 is a "washable" metal screen unit, but the new one is a paper filter.

It is also fitted the opposite way to the honda label - which claims the side to the cover.

Cheers,
Tim

Good to know, I washed mine out. Seem fine, but I recon the Honda one might just be better. Any idea why shineray has gone so quite?
