XY250GY-2 Motard
« on: December 28, 2012, 11:39:24 PM »

Hello all, I have now done 200ks on my new Motard. First impression is very good, Build quality is very good with alloy swingarm a highlight. Power feels good at this early stage and the bike starts easily and runs cleanly. I have disconnected the sidestand cutout switch to enable it to warm up with the stand down. Australian importer is zuma.com.au                I will update later. Len :)

I have solved a small problem. The countershaft seal has had a worsening leak since new and has now been repaired.
The seal looks to have been seated too deeply and the inner lip contacted an oil hole on the shaft. The seal was replaced with a 22x34x7mm seal.
A 20 min. test run shows no sign of leakage now. -- An easy fix. Len

Cool, thanks for posting that. Are seals like that universal between motorcycles?

Update.  600ks now and still impressed. Oil and filter change and now happy to sit on 100kph on daily commute. Great fun bike

Hi Len

letting you know that a 275cc barrel kit is now available for $299.00 and includes the following:

1 x Cylinder barrel
1 x Piston & Pin
1 x Set of rings
1 x Head gasket
1 x Base gasket

Torque increase is very noticable.
