shineray are a pile of shit you get what you pay for i had a shineray 250 stixe in over 20 years of ridin i have never come across such rubbish if you buy 1 you will have nothing but problems you are better of saving abit more money and buying a quality atv so all at shineray forum thanks but remember dont waste your money on a shitray fair well as i ride away on my trouble free yamaha raptor 350

Maybe you should have a look at the yamaha forum just to see how trouble free they realy are. Oh! and the cost of repairs is also very intereseting.

i had my shineray for 3 months 2 burnt out wiring harnesses 1 blown shock 1 deformed tyre 1 broken speedo 1 broken coil 1 broken magneto yeah and it was only riden on the road and i had to wait once for 6 weeks to get it back and then 2 and a half weeks yeah great atv. yamaha owned for 3 months problems NONE and if i do at least i dont have to wait 6 weeks for parts and to get it back dont be pissed just buy a real atv i know all the things you have done to your shineray to get it runnin good so dont tell me that there that great johnny face it its just a shitray dont have a cry cause i did the smart thing

Well all I can say is I wish you well and lots of fun on your Yamaha, by the way, these quads don't have a magneto, they have what is called a capacitor discharge ignition, also known as a CDI
.
