free style, is that your original exhaust? it sure doesn't look like my original, if you switched it out, good for you, better compression all the way!

sorry for the delay, forgot to check the forum. Well you are right about the exhaust but you know i looks pretty cool with twin exhaust. lol

« on: April 10, 2011, 09:33:34 AM »
hi not sure if this would help. i did have a similar issue with my speedometer.

i pretty sure that you have oiled the cable, so that is not the problem
the proble might be, that the cable is coiled for the neutral position, what i mean is:
when you connect the speedo-cable, connect only the wheel base. (lower part) <<<
DO NOT CONNECT the ypper part(the one to the reader) yet. spins the front wheel for a while
the cable will resets itself to a neutral position. (ps you might have to put bike on a bench or something.)
only after rolly let's say for 1 minute, then you connect the upper part.

hope that this helps my friend

By the way, this is the original factory design that the bike arrived with. cool but i definely like black & red color matching. Weird huh ( to redesign the bike the very first week i got the bike.

By the way jewy, all that stuff you said about carburators,... seems that you know mechanics! Pity i don't know.

Regards.

XY200GY / Re: Where to get parts????
« on: September 14, 2010, 01:13:09 PM »
I pretty sure you should be able to get parts at www.roketa.com they don't have the xy200gy listed specifically but shineray uses almost all the same parts on all their bikes, they have standardized parts for you size and model, and they're pretty easy to find, i haven't ordered any yet myself but they seem pretty legit. Also, depending on what parts you need, this bike is pretty much copied off the honda xr200, they use a lot of the same parts, i just pulled apart the carb on my xy200gy and it's an exact copy, honda has several other models which use the same carb as well, (trx200 and atc200 several others as well). Parts aren't quite as simple to find as for other bikes, but with a little research you'll find you do have several options, either go original china parts, most of which are quite cheap, or give your bike a little performance boost with some second hand honda parts, if you can get em.

Hmmm This is some valuable info pal. Keep it up.
